I absolutely love a press show. Not only is there usually free food and drink, but you get to see what will be in-store, months before the items hit the shops. I’ve never been to a Primark show before, but being I’m all about ‘luxury on a budget’, I was beyond excited to attend my first one.
There were loads of key items on show, but I’ve picked out a few of my favourites which I hope to buy as soon as they hit the shops.
First off, just look at those jellies! They were a clear elderflower flavour but decorated real petals and glitter. Tell you what, I can’t get enough of glitter on dessert – I’ll always be impressed.
Look. At. Those. Boots. I’m getting a Matthew Williamson vibe from those butterflies and bees, but I’m betting they won’t cost thousands of pounds unlike MW.
I adore these. However I have fat feet, so unless they’re Primark’s brilliant ‘Wide Fit’ shoe collection, I can’t really wear them. I’ve just got to the age where I’m not OK with being in pain for beauty.
I’ve never been brave enough to wear a faux-fur coat after my sister once told me I looked like a brown bear in one! haha. I really like this though.
If I didn’t have legs like giant Christmas hams, I’d be all over those boots.
What’s annoying, is that when I was young enough to pull these off – I didn’t have the money or the confidence, and now I’m the age I would wear them, they wouldn’t get on me. Fashion paradox that!
I love this long yellow blouse. I think its hard to find a flattering shade of yellow, and I reckon this shirt is going to be incredibly popular when it hits the shops (in fact, I bet it will be hard to get your hands on).
This dress was my favourite item after the boots. It looked so delicate and expensive and could be dressed up or down. There were no prices at the show, but being Primark – its not going to be expensive.
This style of shoe/pattern was popular back when I was about 12… yep, fashion is looping back like my mum said it would. Call me grandma, but I like how comfortable (and pretty these look!)
So there you go, a little peek at the upcoming beauties at Primark. What’s your favourite item?
