Ho ho ho ladies and gents – Welcome to Christmas in July!
Ok, I know… Half of you are going to hate me, but I know a load of you love to see what will be hitting the shops this Christmas, so you can get planning.
Christmas in July events are all through the month of July (surprisingly eh?), and I’ve already been to around 12, so am picking and choosing some of the best ones to post about because I don’t have all the time in the world to discuss baubles.
I haven’t included a load of prices, because brands tend to keep tight-lipped at this point. But if you want more info on a product, let me know in the comments and I’ll happily bother the press office for you.
Iceland
Iceland’s Christmas offering always blows my mind. It’s so good, and for some reason, I never really think of buying meat frozen and fish, even though I do freeze fresh meat often.
I don’t know when it happened, but Lobster has got pretty cheap these days.
This chocolate bomb (its kind of mousse-y) is filled with creme brulee
This is my kind of Christmas wreath. I’ve noticed more and more of these Christmas cakes are chocolate based, not fruit cake/Christmas flavours
The biggest new release for Iceland is the salt covered sea bass – which I honestly can’t believe they are stocking. I’ll definitely be trying this out (though before Christmas).
I don’t know why, but it wouldn’t have crossed my mind to get a turkey which you actually cook from frozen – but it looked and tasted brilliant.
Oh hello – a wine advent calendar
Co-op
I didn’t take a picture, but hands down – Co-op own brand crisps are the best in the market. I’m really into salt and vinegar crisps that burn and nothing really would hit the spot. HOWEVER, Co-op’s balsamic ones, they make me sweat when eating them. Give them a go if you’re a S&V fan.
See the pots of melted cheese? They were the best thing on that table by a mile
Finally, an acceptable tangerine
So this is cool. You can get a while Christmas dinner in a box for £12. It’s of course, not gigantic, but if there’s just one or two of you, and you don’t have the time or not able to cook a big roast – this is a brilliant idea.
John Lewis
So this is the newest interactive toy your kids will be nagging you for. It’s super cute though!
Can you imagine if your house was this classy? I wish mine was.
Technology eh? You can now have a ‘candy’ in the shape of your face. I’ve already eaten my face.
Etsy
Etsy is one of my favourite online shops because I’m a big fan of supporting small businesses, and also – you can get beautiful items that most of your friends and family wouldn’t have seen before.
Everything here smelled and looked so beautiful and expensive.
Krafty K Design
Just beautiful
Sandy Leaf Farm – Guess what I learned from this seller – gin is just vodka with herbs and spices thrown in. I’m keen to pick up a jerky kit, as its so good for you, and you only need cheap beef.
